Thanks.

be careful what you wish for.

You seem totally ignorant of what you're saying.

You would want a government that allows murder, rape, abortion, incest, robbery, theft, embezzlement, dishonest scales, corruption, etc?

All of the laws against such are from God. And all of the laws that our country originally had against such things were directly from the Bible.

As Newsweek even pointed out back in 1995, the laws of the United States, even more than being based on the Constitution, are based on the Bible.

This country would never have been founded if not for Christians active in the American Revolution, and our side would not have won the war, if not for God's divine providence and help.

Maybe you should read the writings and journals of George Washington, among others.

Maybe you'd gain an appreciation for what it is you're talking about, which obviously you don't presently understand.

Wayne, you're nuts, besides mixing up morals and politics. How many times will I have to say this? Morals do not necessarily come from a religion or a deity! An atheist world would still have laws and morals, just not the Christian ones. The world does not, and should not revolve around your Christianity. Stop thinking we atheists are immoral becaue we don't have all the same values you do.

Mythology, deities, and fiction stories have no rightful place in politics or governments. Leave them out.

And, Sanstheism, I am the Satanist atheist, so I'm not getting any points for denouncing the Hell out of theocracy.

Not religious, so not the one you are looking for an answer from, but...

I don't care if someone is religious, that is their way, but there are things like the government that need to be neutral sort of "nothing" ground when it comes to religion. I don't mean "nothing" as in atheistic, just nothing as in "lets not discuss that here" kind of thinking. Our society can not survive for the long haul if we can't keep things like government open and void of such topics. Because if it has to be put in there, then one is going to be placed over others, and you can't do that in a "melting pot" country. Keeping the topic hush-hush in some situations will not destroy or take away religion, the same morals and values held by both believers are non can still be used as that is just the way people should be. In the end, to hold ourselves up to those standards of how we should be as human beings, isn't that what's important as a whole? If religion and belief is held sacred and personal as it should be, people are still free to believe, they still have their faith, there is no problem.

Hi,

I think it would be ideal to have my God in the government, but I have to look at the situation holistically.
I believe my God is the God of everyone, but not everyone believes in our God. This being said, if a government had a different god or religion that I did not believe, it would get very frustrating to me that my beliefs cannot be what guides my life.
This is very much true in the case if a government is run by a religion that I am greatly opposed to. I would not be able to abide by the laws, if the laws are part of a religion that I do not agree with.

Do you feel your God or a God has imposed on you in some way?
Sorry Not sure of your Question.
I believe God doesn't impose on anyone. You choose God or not, either way god is in your life weather you want him or not. Consider God as a little brother you don't want to tag along with you with friends. So you say , Go home. And God says I am home.

whoa..............time out friend.

Christian based land? yes.

a Gov, that makes you take a religion? hahhahahaaa

Would this not be a Islamic trick?

Our Gov, has ZERO business deciding ones religious beliefs.

Every country has to have a foundation of something to hold it together. I choose Christianity.

You and anyone else choose anything you desire.
