People often make fun of Christians for their faith, but I take joy in that Jesus endured cruel mockery, scourging, and beatings.
When Jesus cursed the fig tree, it withered up and died, never to return again.
What's more is that the Bible clearly states that vengeance belongs to God. God said, "Vengeance is Mine [retribution and the meting out of full justice rest with Me]; I will repay [I will exact the compensation], says the Lord. And again, The Lord will judge and determine and solve and settle the cause and the cases of His people." Hebrews 10:30
Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Roman 12:19-21

Maybe Jesus was crucified on a fig tree. I heard maybe an olive tree. Maybe not a cross at all. Why waste the money on a carpenter?
