ionic treatments in regards to hair might be a way to remove static from hair... Since hair is made up of organic molecules and that means it is able to pick up electrons ...therefore forming some sort of a charge on your hair causing it to have static...and so an Ionic treatment may be something that denatures the hair so it loses its electrons and therefore it doesn't have static.

But that's what I am guessing...
