GO TO MIDDLE EAST WHICH IS HELL!

2006-07-29 20:19:05 · answer #1 · answered by grrrrr 1 · 1 1

I believe in God. I am a Christian. I also believe in personal freedom and personal choice. My beliefs work for me in my life. I have never been the type of person who attempts to force my beliefs on anyone else. If people want to discuss what I believe and why I believe it; that is fine, I will gladly do so. It is not a good practice, no matter what your personal beliefs; to go around making generalized statements like people are forcing their beliefs on you. Human beings in general like to communicate with other human beings and in particular like to communicate about things that they feel are improving or helping their own lives. When you are excited and happy about something, it is human nature to share. People could be forcing worse things on you than religion. You could live in a country where you could be forced to believe in certain religious beliefs or doctrines, so at least you have freedom of choice. Many people in many countries do not have choice. Have a good night.

First of all, who are these people you are referring to? If they are cults like Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormons or Scientology, watch out! They want you to believe in God so you can join their aberrant form of Christianity and they get "brownie points" with their "version" of God. Or could it be some other religion besides Christianity? It seems every religion wants to make converts... These were all predicted by Jesus and he warned to not let them keep you from the true God. That true God is personified in Jesus. He healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, made the water into wine, performed multiplication of fish and bread, and he walked on water, and even raised the dead back to life! and a bunch of other stuff proving to anyone with an open mind that he was the one who was the true personification of God in the earth.
Now, as to why people attempt to share their belief in Jesus with you; it's because he told those who believed in him to share the message with the whole world. Without Jesus you are lost and heading for hell, which is the case for everyone born, unfortunately. Believeing the story of Jesus and beginning a relationship with him will save you and bring light to your soul. NOT religion! Oh yeah, and also people try to get you to believe in God because God is Love and he loves YOU!

I'm sorry you don't believe in God, but I would never force my beliefs on you or any-one. If you want to hear, I'm all mouth. But it is your choice on what you want to believe in. I am always ready and willing to talk about God, but I do not like it when one tries to FORCE their beliefs on me. The reason they Force their beliefs on you is because they think that they have the true religion, and they don't want you to go to Hell, and suffer a eternity of torment. I don't believe in a Hell of torment and people are always trying to tell me otherwise. I am studying on the matter, so we will see..... So maybe you can do what I do when situation comes up such as this, and that is just tell them that you will never see eye to eye on the matter and to just drop it.

"No one is trying to force their beliefs on you?" Ady, that's kind of short sighted isn't it? Maybe there are people trying to force their beliefs on our fine asker! Perhaps he's being assaulted by manical cultists!

Right, now that I have that out of the way, blah blah blah, "Conflict of world views" "personal security" "Desire to feel like heroes by saving you from sin" "Ecetera ecetera"

Oiy. There's a lot of reasons why people take an evangelical approach. My sugguestion is to say you're agnostic and intend on remaining that way. You don't have to support your beliefs, because you don't believe in anything (except that you don't know). People can badger you all you want but you can just say "I don't know" possibly following it with "And I don't care"

Just make sure you don't fall into the same trap that they do, and inadvertently try and force your beliefs on them.

Lie to us then and tell us you do so we don't waste your time and ours telling you that there is a God who loves you. Its ok to lie since you don't believe anyone is ever going to punish you. I know lots of people like you, and they have become very accomplished at lying and cheating other people out of their hard earned cash. That they too act as if we should respect their beliefs like your doing puts you right into their boat. I hope you guys don't run out of water any time soon, because I know they don't like to share anything good with anybody. Well, have a nice life and lots of rain, for thats free to everybody still.

You should be the religion that is right for you not what your parents or friends think. A lot of Christians(not all) for example (just an example) think their religion is the only way or that they are right and of course that is not the only way. Americans can be any religion they want it is your consitutional right.
Anyway if one comes knocking on your door asking if you found God, tell them they have a lot of nerve for misplacing their God.

You answered your own question. I had some Christians push their way into my home and refuse to leave until they had their say. Many of them do push and push and push. Their defenders will argue they are not "real" Christians, but there seem to be more of them than the kind that can respect other people's boundaries. To minimize it, don't engage in that conversation if you can avoid it. No answer except complete surrender will ever be good enough.

I do believe in God and I often tell people what God had done in my life. As christian's we try to tell others about God and the offer of ever lasting life when we surrender out lives to him. Jesus gave us the greatest gift that could ever be give to anyone and that is the chance to have forgiveness of our sins and everlasting life. As a christian I do not want to see anyone who may be lost to die without the chance to give themselves to God and be able to have everlasting life. So it is not that we try to push our beliefs onto anyone it is just that we do not want Satan to be able to get any souls and them to have to go through eternity in hell burning forever. The only thing I can say is whom of us would give ourselves just as Jesus did. Would anyone be willing to do it for him. Now there is ture love!!!!!!!!!!

i've found that asking any question on here about any religion put it in any type of format results in people either trying to convert or writing answers that are nasty, it's funny i keep reading answers on how un-original your question is, yet most answers have become the same, why dont you post a question with the first line being- if this question offends you dont answer.....? personally i cant see an insult in your question...unless the person answering has done this.
