They are both as equally important.
While you mother's future effects her ability to provide for your care, so will your future effect your ablility to provide care for her when she becomes elderly.

My mom's future is. I gave up a good paying job of 5 years and a house, to come back home to take care of my parents. They are what is important to me right now. I want to enjoy them now while I can and then once they are gone, I will resume my life.

I don't know about others but in my case, my future is more important because what happens to me in the future will effect my mom's future and how she ends up.

Yours, unless you are planning to harm her as a result! But, if that's not the case, your own future is more important. Some people will say that this is selfish but it's only their opinion.

What does your mom want? To further her education? I say she should go for it. Is she single and want to date...She should go for it. Your mother is a human beign just like you. She needs to have a life just like you. Get over your spoiled self.

for me...my mother's is more important. not only us, children, have plans. parents also do have o we musn't think only of ourselves. but if you ask this question to a mother of course she'll answer her children's future is more important. it's because this question can be vise versal.
