If my social security card is lost can it be replaced? I'm thinking about taking driver's education this summer and I was wondering if I've had to have my social security card with me while I'm taking driver's education

You'll need proof of your SSAN for your permit and license. Just go to the nearest Social Security office to apply for a replacement card. Store it in a safe place at home; do not carry it with you.

You'll eventually need it for work. Go to your local SS office and ask for a replacement. It'll take about a week to get in the mail.

You can get a replacement card. You are not supposed to carry the card with you. You can take it to a place for identification but you are not to carry it with you.
