Sometimes, and I can't figure out why, I'll get this really weird sickening feeling. My heart will begin to race. I will start to feel an odd numbing sensation all over. I get really scared and I don't know what's happening. I feel like I'm going to pass out, but I never do. Sometimes it goes on for hours, and it seems to distort time (time seems to go by really fast). My vision gets somewhat blurred. Its really really really scary and it's happened about 4 or 5 times. I think it might be related to caffine, but im not sure. If you could answer this, I would be extrememly happy. Thanks.

I don't know how old you are or what medications you are taking, but it maybe because your heartbeat is irregular. Sometimes the act of eating food will trigger the vagus nerve (vagal) and irritate the heart to go into an irregular beat, sort of like a sinking feeling, like your heart is flopping like a fish out side of your body. I would go to your doctor and have a check up to make sure you don't have a heart condition or anything else, like petite mal seizure, panic attack, or a mini stroke.

could be vertigo. that sounds like alot of the symptoms my grandmother had when she was diagnosed with it. honestly i would go to a doctor and let them check you out. vertigo is caused by an improper fluid buildup in the inner ear.

My guess is you are having panic attacks. You may be hyperventilating as well. See
