well she has to be legalized to get into the country, once she is legal she needs a greencard which proves shes legal to work, then you apply to the federal gov to get her an ssn, however there should be people in any branch of the military to walk you through this stuff if you married in an approved manner as far as the military is concerned.

Contact the Social Security Administration Office in the area you are stationed. Until you are legally married, she may not be eligible for a SSN.

Go to your legal office on base.....if she's not in the country now you will need a fiancee visa, Just go to the legal office they know all the steps and will help you. And will probably be faster than going the civilian route anyways.

from personal past experience marrying a foreigner does not give her the right to immediately emigrate to our beloved States, you would have to file petition like everybody else upon her entry in USA presenting her green card ,the social security will issue her a social number goo luck Semper Fi

Tell your Squad Leader.. and then notify your SNCOIC.. which will discuss it with your PLT. CMDR..who will run it up to the Company to your TNCO, up the chain to your 1st Sgt. (or equivalent), and contact the CO. MAJ or XO.. if you're lucky, whom will then check it out and prolly pull you to the side....

---or run it back down to the XO if it gets to the CO, to the 1st. SGT. (or equivalent), back down to the TNCO, to the PLT. CMDR, to the SNCOIC, back to your Squad Leader..

It's the chain of command .... Use it!

And it shouldn't take more than 6 hours-- if it does, something's wrong.. and either your unit needs to get off their *** or--- go to school and apply for a course in "resource management."

If asked where to locate the course, it's probably under, "Business." Tell them to go look it up at a community college... They should have it.
