This would all depend on your view of God.
If deistic (God does not interact with the universe) then there would be no way to tell. If theistic (God interacts with the universe) then we would tell by his lack of interaction. If pantheism (the Universe is God) then we would know (but at the same time not know) because we would all cease to exist. If panentheism (God is the spirit of the universe) then we would know because the universe would cease to function.

How can anyone here answer that? We're all just people.
But if you mean in the religious sense. I don't think he could. Nor do I think he would end up in hell, for "murdering" people. He (or it rather) hasn't killed anyone. Of course according to the bible he did. But that's ridiculous. I don't think god kills. People kill, diseases kill, natural distasters kill, and freak accidents kill. God just allows us to die. There is a difference. There is nothing evil about it. Death isn't bad. It just is. When we die, we feed the earth. How is that bad? But I suppose that that's besides the point.
God doesn't die, because he doesn't have anything to feed, nor could he run out of energy. He is everything. He isn't even a he. It's not a tangible person as people imagine. This is just me of course. It's possible (and likely) that I'm completely wrong. But this is just my understanding of things. But that's what you asked for. Never mind. I'm rambling.
God if it were some sort of sentient life force could potentially die, and all would feel it, because according to all definitions of god, "god" is the creator of all things, and therefore would have a bond with all things. Life may change in one way or another, but I don't think it would necessarily be the end of all things.
Would you die if your mother ceased breathing?
Just a thought. But there's no real way to know for sure. Our understanding of this god being is primitive at best.

This isn't a possibility. God has no beginning or end. He is eternal.
If He COULD die, then we'd probably first notice it when the planets and stars all started spinning out of control and the earth would lose its gravity (as everything else would), our planet would shoot out of its orbit and it'd be -500 degrees celsius in no time.
Good thing He can't die, huh?

said it before and ill say it again.
it would be ironic, and hed probably end up in hell. After MURDERING millions in the flood and more in each plague from Moses, not to mention all the people whos time came up.. I dont think god himself could get through his pearly gates.
