The past week I've been really down. I can't stop eating. I honeslty can't control it. I'm not a big girl. This isn't normal for me. What should i do? It's starting to scare me. Today I went to the grocery store and bought all fruits and veggies so if I do eat, it will be that from now on. But I don't want to want to eat all of the time. It's making me sick.

haha no no. I love healthy foods. That's no problem for me. Maybe I just need to get some self control.

You have to make a decision not to eat. I know that sounds simple but it is a decision to eat. When we eat and we are not hungry we are eating to fill a void or to avoid a feeling. So a decision to only eat if your stomach is growling is a choice that can be made if you are willing to make that choice. I did it and, yes, once in awhile I break that decision and overeat, but that doesn't stop me from controlling myself the next time food is calling my name.

Well since it seems like you are stress eating. So If you are down try other activities when you feel like eating. Choose things that get you out of the house and somewhere were you won't want to eat. (So not at your best friend with more munchies. Drinking A giant glass of water will curb it some. Take up a new hobby if you are bored. If your depressed about something in perticular exercise boost endorphine- feel good chemicals- naturally. So swim bike run or dance around you house in pajamas singing very loudly. B vitimens are natural mood stablizers so perhaps a vitimen I do nto think weight control is an issue if this is just a phase you are going threw

Don't stay at home all day, that way you get bored and then you eat, try to go for some walks, or invite some people so you can have company.
Besides that try to drink lots of water so you don't need to eat that much. If nothing works ask for help from a professional .

This won't help, but, you could stop eating for a couple of hours, or go on a health reality tv show, or just eat healthy foods, and pretend it's a food you like.

Screw weight meds...if you are a teen or young adult, you should be okay, but at least make sure you are getting out and walking or lifting weights or doing some kind of exercise. You would be suprised what exercise can do for your mood. It makes me high....in a good way, I go throught what you do quite often.

remember>It's all in the mind!...stop thinking about food..put all your food in the fridge..store them somewhere and make shure you're not walking in and out of your kitchen. Now get busy..if you keep yourself busy with anything...beleive me..time goes by fast and you'll forget to eat (a lot)....but stay healthy and maybe read about healthy living and about healthy eating...you'll learn a lot!

good luck!

Get help for your depression. The eating is a symptom not your main problem. Once you feel better you will stop eating. See your doctor ASAP.

try chewing on gum, or inviting some hungry friends over when you order a pizza, or shop for food at the corner store, cause they never have anything good

take some appetite suppressants.

You might also try drinking a lot (water/milk, etc., fruit juice), cause if you're really full from drinking, you won't eat that much. . or even want to.
