This may sound really crazy and believe me when I read it was very skeptical but I've tried several times and it worked great.
rinsing your hair in Lukewarm Green tea (a green tea bag that has been boiled and cooled a bit) gives natural red highlights to hair and it's good at keeping your already red highlights looking nice without harsh chemicals from dyes or products with lighter chemicals.

That sounds approximately traditional for unnatural colors. Most "bizarre" colors are semi-everlasting and can begin to vanish after approximately two weeks, going fairly downhill from then on. Some recommendations: - wash your hair in bloodless or lukewarm water. If you are keen on scorching showers, bathe and wash your hair individually. - use a color protective shampoo. Something sulphate-unfastened is certainly well however some thing top-lather is no less than slightly larger than, say, a clarifying shampoo. In different phrases, preclude Head & Shoulders or shampoos from different traces which are supposed to strip difficult water minerals or product out of your hair. Go with ones that market it sulphate-unfastened or color-protective. - take a look at shampooing simply your roots and no longer the recommendations of your hair while you wash. Condition the ends as an alternative than shampooing. Good good fortune :)

Wash your hair in luke warm to cool water
use shampoos specially for red hair(I like Pantene's red expressions)
try not to wash your hair daily, every other day or every two days is good
try not to use a lot of heat on your hair, keep blowdrying & ironing to a minimum
try to keep your hair out of the sun

Don't wash your hair as often. You really don't need to shampoo more than once or twice a week.

you can get a color enhancing shampoo and conditioner at your local sally's beauty supply.
you can also put a glaze or rinse over your colored hair to perk it back up.

Don't wash your freshly dyed hair everyday. Also, don't use too many stylist products.
