I believe its a matter of pride. Some people haven't found out that good spelling skills help you make more money, so they play at seeming to be ignorant. Another thing, this is called Yahoo answers, not Yahoo questions so we should ignore those who can't ask reasonable questions. They will either become educated by reading intelligent responses or they won't but we at least have given them the chance.

They're lazy to even spell right in the first place, why do you think that they'd then click on a spell check? [I mean, come on! This is the end of the world if you don't get your answers up there first before that S.O.B. with the faster computer!]
