open up a folder like my documents...go to tools, then folder options...open the "file types" tab, scroll down to the mpg extension, and click "change"...select windows media player.

my opionion is that:
:>right click on any mpeg file
> open with
>choose programs...
in the dialog box slect the media player and click ok
if u want to be permanent thin just make tick in select box

Try vcdhelp.com its a great site for audio and video conversions with a lot tutorials and freeware.
