i think spaying her would be cruel, but she coughs up the pills all the time except for the green ones

I can't believe you would try to give a cat a pill every day.... spaying is so much kinder in the long run. If you definitely are against spaying her, then she will have to be an inside cat... you won't be able to let her out and you will have to listen to the incessant yowling when she is in heat.

spaying is not cruel, i have essentially been spayed, and if you do it before the cat has her first estris she wont have breast cancer, i lost two older cats from breast cancer because i didnt get them fixed till they were older, no cat should ever be on any pills she doesnt need to survive.

Easy. Keep her away from toms. Abstinence is the best policy. I assume you've heard if spaying and just said "no".
