Because they try to ban the word God out of the pledge of allegiance and they think God is punishing us and he isnt and they are just saying unfair things about god which isnt right. Im going to stand by god and jesus because im tired of people talking badly of God. I try not to hate them its just they just talk badly about God and i can not stand that.

I'm a christian and I don't hate atheist's if I did that would go against my beliefs as a christian. Can't say I understand them or even some other religions for that matter. I think religious people and atheists are just not suited well for being together because of such different views neither side seems to be able to talk without arguing simply because of faith.
Even athiests have faith because if you didn't have faith you wouldn't be so strong headed you are right in what you believe. It all boils down to what happens when you die then and only then will your beliefs be proven if your right no matter what your belief is then no worries but if your wrong then hold on it's gonna get bumpy.
Look at it as when christians try to sway your thinking (sometimes by overdoing it to the point of becomeing unchristian like ) thats there way of showing they care thats basicly what it is.they fear hell and they don't want to see you there.
they get defensive when you tell them there is no God because to them it seems your trying to make them change there views that there isn't a hell and if they do and are wrong isn't something there not willing to risk. And they fell you are trying to put them in harms way. they try to get atheists to heaven a safe place and atheists tell them there is no safe place........

But thats just my take on things take it how ya see it...

i think they don't like the idea that atheists believe in no deity and fear they may try to conform others to there way of thinking...but i would say hate is a strong word here when an atheist tells someone religious that they don't believe in god i think they normally get the GOD is real speech and then when that doesn't work they are not hated but pitied

I don't hate Atheists, in fact my youngest brother and middle son are both atheists, what I DO hate however is how so many who don't believe in God act as if those of who do are mindless nitwits! I don't shove my faith on anyone else and ask for the same treatment from others. Cool if a person doesn't believe as I do, but don't judge me for it, I don't judge them.

The reason is because Atheists don't believe in ridiculous fantasies and ask questions that the religous cannot answer. All the religious can do is thump a book or quote some book instead of thinking. :)

I don't hate them, but I do hate how they corner me if they find out I'm a Christian. It can't just be, oh, we believe different things, no, they have to corner me, and use all their arguments on me until I give in, and then walk away not realy believing all they tried to dump on me. Why do so many athiests feel they have to attack? I've never attacked anyone with my beliefs, nor shoved them on anyone. I don't like that done to me either. I only know 6 athiests, and all six try to make me miserable.

I don't hate Atheists in fact I don't hate anyone. Just because I don't share your beliefs doesnt mean hate. I would say I love the sinner just not the sin. I don't like to lie so why should I like it in another!

They certainly have a history of starting more wars with other religions than with atheists.
Having a monopoly on the Divine Power is a sure fire way to control the world. Anyone who challenges your control would probably be treated as an enemy.

I try not not to hold hate in my heart for any particular group of people, and resist feeling hatred toward any individual.
