Ok, so I'm pretty 'hair styling challenged' and I need an decent explantion how to pull off http://soapoperadigest.com/InWeekly/BreeWilliamson05P.jpg this hairstyle. What I don't really understand is where the second pony is on the bottom, and how to get the top pony so perfect. can anyone give me a little help? Thanks in advance!

First what you need to do is part your hair by dragging your comb from the corner of your eyebrows to a point (almost like you would be putting your hair back in a barrette). Take a pony tail holder and temporarily section it off.

Now you are going to want to focus on the rest of your hair by using some kind of smoothing serum. It does look like the models hair has been flat ironed. Smooth your hair down and use a smoothing brush (bristles are toughter and close together..not a vent brush where the bristles are further apart and there are holes in the brush). Put it into the second ponytail at the bottom and that is going to be your finished look, so use what ever ponytail holder that you want....or you can even take a small piece from underneath the ponytail and (using some smoothing serum) wrap it around the pony tail holder and use a bobby pin to secure it.

Now, for the top section, you want to use a rat tail comb and rat (or back-comb). How you do that is pull your hair up in one inch sections. Run the comb from the top of your hair to your scalp repeatedly. Do this for each one inch section.

You are going to look crazy.

Don't worry, we're going to use our smoothing brush to make the bump in the front. You're going to need to practice so that you can make it look the way you want it. When it does, secure it with a barrette or whatever you want to use. Make sure that you smooth out the rest after the ponytail holder or barrette. you can even smooth it out to form to your head. It's really up to you. If you have questions, just contact me.

That's a REALLY tough one.

If I were you, I would print out that picture and show it to a trustworthy hairdresser. If you're lucky, they'll know how to do it and show you how.

But before you go off spending money on it, be sure that it'll actually look good on YOU and not just on that person, OK? Good luck!
