Does anyone else have a dog that oinks and grunts and snuffles like a pig, or am I the only one? She looks like a Lab, but sounds like a hog..
I sometimes worry that she has a nasal obstruction, but she seems otherwise okay..

I took her to the vet..everything seems okay. She had kennel cough years and years ago, and that is when I noticed it started, initially.

This is not normal for the breed. Take her to the vet to rule out upper respiratory illness ,obstruction, or collapsed trachea. When it comes to breathing, never wait.

My dog clucks like a chicken - he just has a mental obstruction..

My friend's Pug snorts and wheezes all of time, but he is okay and does not have any serious issues - it's just loud.

However, for a lab I would suggest having the vet check him out to make sure it's not an issue that will affect his health in the long run. He's not overweight is he? You haven't noticed any missing shoes or objects that he could have swallowed?

It could be one of things that makes him special, but you'll feel better if the vet checks him out and rules out any possible causes as the other posters have mentioned.

There can be many reasons to dog snorting. Breeds such as pugs and such, have a shorter nasal cavity that does cause them to snort.
Dogs CAN GET ALLERGIES!!! Is another.
If this is something that has just started up, best to consult "more knowledgeable" person for coughing and "snorting" of a sort is also a sign of heart worm. Or could also be just a common cold. The dog is probably sneezing. They sneeze normally, then sometimes they sneeze backwards and it sounds like they snorting.
