Be professional in your dress, speech and general demeanor. Be there to impress. Clearly articulate what you can bring to the company in terms of your skills and experience. Follow up immediately with thank you letters to those who interviewed you.

Don't show desperation. Treat the interview as a negotiation process (After all that is what it is). Don't feel that you are the underdog. Keep your mind open to the fact that if the conditions of employment don't feel right to you, you may decide to reject the position even if you were successful in that interview. This will be important to your confidence. Ask intelligent questions. Remember to send the right signals both verbally and non-verbally. Show that you are serious about the position and understand what it may entail.
You will not be nervous if you, in a non-arrogant way, hold the thought that it is the company who stands to loose if you are not selected for the position.

First of all, make sure you go in looking professional. See what the current employees are wearing, and try to go in a step-up in appearance. For example, if they're wearing casual clothing, try to wear a nice pair of slacks and collared shirt. Don't overdo it though, by wearing a business suit to McDonalds for instance.
Be as calm as possible, and try not to fidget, look around, say "um" too much, bite your fingernails, and try to look the person interviewing you in the eye. Looking away is kind of rude, and makes the person think you have something to hide or aren't trustworthy.
Also, be honest, because if you start telling lies, and get found out later, you could get in trouble for it (probably not go to jail, but they may not hire you, or may fire you if you're already hired).
If they ask you what a weakness you have is, be honest here too. But also explain to them that you're trying to fix that problem. For instance, you might be a perfectionist, but also that you're working on pacing yourself better so that you can get things done in a more timely, efficient manner. The important thing is that you admit a weakness, and that you are trying to improve yourself, which looks great if you're honest about it.
Try to present yourself as someone who would be a good person to hire, and if you're assertive enough to pass that off, then they're more likely to hire you.

*Thank your interviewer for meeting with you.
*Be Yourself.
*Make eye contact without staring down your interviewer.
*Exude confidence without being arrogant.
*Assume that you will be hired.
*Prepare some intelligent questions ahead of time.
*If you truly want the job after the interview, ask what the next step will be, and how soon you should expect to hear from them.
If you are a flatulent person, take some Gax Ex about 45 minutes prior- (not a joke)... Interviews make people nervous.

Dress according to the job that you are applying. Greet the interviewers when you see them. Take a seat after they have taken their seats. Answer their questions intelligently. Say thank you when your interview ends.

Read up on the company, it's product, it's mission, etc.
Talk about how you can fit into that plan.
They are VERY likely to ask you what you would like to be doing in 5 yours. The answer" your job" rarely impresses anyone.
There is a good chance they will ask you about your strengths and weaknesses.
Some places ask "how do you see yourself (what work do you envision doing) in 1 day from the time you walk in till the time you leave - if we hire you." it is worth thinking about ahead of time.
