Did you preview your question before asking it?

I think you are defensive and rude for assuming that Atheists are sinners.

And you know what happens when you assume, right? Yep, you make an a-- our of you and me.

When was the last time that you or someone you know died, then came back and told everyone that if they don't become Christians then they are all going to HELL?
See where ASSUMING will get you, no where really.

No one knows what happens after death so try having the non judgmental attitude that God teaches and maybe you will get along with people in the future.

Defensive and rude? Yes, I am. Because I am an Atheist? Nope. I would blame it on me being a jerk.

Atheist = Sin
Your math needs a little reviewing. A negative integer (Atheist)can never equal a not real number(Sin).

Not all athiests are defensive and rude, but the ones that are more likely to be noticed and more likely to reply are the rude ones: it's the rude ones you remember.

And if you're asking why they're so defensive, it's because you're saying that they're sinners, and they disagree. Conflicting world views tends to incite emotional response, rather than rational response.

Anyway, I'm agnostic (which is supposed to be a sin too, but I digress) so I try and remain relatively neutral.

Ordinarily I wouldn't have responded to your senseless, bigoted rant. I don't see the point you are trying to make other than clamoring for attention!

But what really got my "goat" was not just the identify, but the picture image you chose in putting your "question". (For the benefit of other readers, that image is from one of the 12 cartoons that appeared in the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten posted earlier this year)!

You'll know what I mean and it has nothing to do with atheism, Scumbag!

Not all Atheists are defensive and rude... some are actually nice... but I think the ones who are defensive and rude are just trying to prove to themselves that they are right... and not think about what would happen if they were wrong

I don't find atheists defensive. We may be rude at times

I think we're just exasperated with concepts we feel are outdated in the 21st century, such as faith in things not seen.

I suppose we can be a tad too evangelistic with our rationalism at times.

Not all atheists are defensive and rude.
Just the ones who are trying to shove their religion down our throats.

I think you are falling into the trap of generalisation. I don't believe you know all atheists.

well maybe it's your attitude: if you go around treating atheists according to your premise ("atheists = sin") then they have every right to get defensive. congratulations, bigot
