The very best lure you can use all year long is a Rattle Trap...for any condition and any weather, rain sleet or shine even during 48o degree temperature during the Winter months and to beat all that if you want to fish in the cold your bound to get a very big Bass...they are slow biters, but they have to eat like you and me and cold weather will not stop them neither will hot weather.

i know i cant beat bass fishermans answer...but i would throw a crankbait around rocks and lumber in the day and would try a heddon torpedo around grass and logs and lily pads ( if any ) and if you are going to be fishing at night i HIGHLY recommend THE ORIGINAL 7.5 CULPRIT BLACK WORM they are the cheapest and easiest way to catch bass at night and a offset shank worm hook and a medium sized bullet weight and u r definetly going to catch a fish....also try a buzzbait and topwater baits at night usually the big fish come up at night at eat prey on top...

yes, yes, yes. More fishing questions.
Best lure depends on your location, depth, temp., water clarity, wind, etc. When fishing is tough, it's usually best to go smaller and slower.
my choices:
windy - spinnerbaits
morning - surface lures, dark worms
later- crankbaits, plastics
gargle, spit, and repeat.
peace
