flse...it might just mean you have more to carry. my neighbor drives a van, of course he has 12 kids.

maybe you mean the "fancier" a car, the more insecure you are, but I haven't found that to be true, either.

True.
There are many insecurities that cause folks to buy a big vehicle.
The biggest one we here from the big SUV riders is they feel safer. That is a dealy insecurity.
Actually the big SUVs are a lot less safe than the majority of apssenger cars.

For me the only reason we have a mini-van is for the utility of hauling people and home-garden supplies. It has a mid-size V-6.
The biggest engine in our other 3 cars is a 1.6L 4-cyclinder. The other 2 cars have 1.3L engines.

It depends....A lot of people have pick-up trucks because they have to load and carry things.

People that drive huge Hummers are definitely insecure. There is no reason, especially if you live in a city, to own one. When will you be going off road? I don't know...those things are just a pet peeve for me.

False. Mine is mid-sized but I like it b/c it is safe, not b/c I'm insecure. It also handles better and is easier to vaccuum, put packages in and open the doors of.
