I just bought some lye soap to try w/ my 3 year old daughter who has exema pretty bad on her arms. Is that good to try? My husband says he thinks that it would burn. Is that true? Also I saw a website for pine tar soap. Which is better? Is that a good one for her also?

I used to need to use tar shampoo because everything else caused very bad eczema. It was very gentle and worked really well. Once my hormones settled and my body's chemicals changed, I was able to use other shampoos. The body's chemicals change with age as the hormones change. She'll probably grow out of the skin issues.

OMG do not use anything with lye on a child - lye is a burning poisen on human skin!!!

speak to your childs dr immediatly

look around online type in eczema and look around do not trust anything until you find it on multiple web sites - i have a friend with serious eczema - and he found a modified diet helped a lot - he reduced his dairy & tomatoe and it cleared up some!!
