Mad i had a arguemnt and im pissed off.?

Question

Today i had a little arguement with my grandfathrer on my dads side and he is very stubborn.he wanted to watch a indian wedding cassette with of some relative but me and mom to wathc a movie already so he starts saying crap tht watch the movie later and crapand i said well watch the cassette later.He said i wanna watch it no matter wht but i did not give in i just wanted to say smthn like go back to india i mean i was mad.He is like my way or takethe highway he is very stubborn.I told him u cant always get your way and he kept saying well i want to watch it. i ended up winning but them his dumb self wanted mom to hook up the tv upstairs so we did not even get to watch our movie in peace becuz of him. im very pissed off and cant hold this anger in n e longer i think im jus gonna start talking crap as i pleez i mean some people only some with a not american mentality are jus ew.i dont know wht to say to him. this is america not india i wanna say tht. plz tell me i shood do

but i know he is not acting like a jerk or playing it off he is seriuos u guys have a point but i kinow he does nhot want to spend time with him i dont hate him but sometimes like this he gets on my nerves

I agree with retrodragonfly.....is this really a major life threatening issue? Not so much.....but it is a situation that you can grow from. Some people just won't see eye to eye with you that you were there first.....he is your grandfather. You have limited amount of time on earth with him....who knows how much longer he is going to be around and I'm sure that you don't want to remember your grandfather in this light. It may help you to serve your grandfather......allow him to watch his movie, without being rude, knowing that you are being the more mature and giving person. I think it will help soften your heart. You may also need to conceed that there are going to be cultural differences, no matter what. It's not always going to be fair. Life is not fair. I hope that you are able to find your peace. Be the "bigger" person.

well it's your grandfather so if i were you i would watch it with him because obviously he's not going to be around forever and maybe he wants to spend time with you. maybe he is also joking in a jerk like manner and you're taking it personally. so basically i'm saying chill out and just brush it off next time and spend some time with him for his sake and who knows he might cut the spending time short if he is bored or that can be your new nap time.

after you cool down, think about the situation, he's your grandfather.try to be possitive with him. he may be feeling lonely and being shut down may only make him feel left out, like a third wheel. he may be hateful if he thinks everyone else is being hateful to him. ask him if there is a good time that everyone could spend time together, if its good with you and your mom. im sure you can work it out. good luck.

you will get over it cherish your papa while he is still here if something happened to him you would be right back on here sking for advise like how do i get over the fact that i disrespected my grandpa now he died and i feel bad what am i supposed to do now i never got to say that i was sorry.... so just let him have his way
