Atheists...why not arrest the rhinos..and have animal prison?

Since you say we are just another part of the food chain we must arrest the rhinos for fighting with their rivals. Why not arrest lions for gazelle homicide ? Then theres those homicidal eagles that swoop down and rip fish up by the neck and eat them. SWAT should be dispatched immediatly. Amen ? Why not put all the birds on probation for worm genocide ? Arent they as guilty as us for killing off the worm community ?Then theres those ghastly homicidal maniacs the sharks! Those guys are the terrorists of the sea! Shouldnt we dispatch delta Force against them immediatly and put them all in Guantanemo Bay ? Why not ? We are as they . How long will they get away with their crimes against each other ? Isnt it unfair that we discipline each other and let them all go crazy in the rest of the Animal World ? Cant we stand up with an atheist cry and shout to them, " enough is enough ! " ?

Rhino's aren't sentient that's why. Punishment is a phenomena used to inform those that would be punished if they commited a wrongdoing that they will suffer the punishment. Most animals don't respond to punishment unless the punishment occurs IMMEDIATELY after the transgression, much like how I have to squirt my cat with the watergun while she's in the process of tearing up furniture.

Now, rhinos that end up trampling over and killing people, we kill. Not as punishment, but so that that particular rhino isn't around anymore to kill again.

As for lions killing gazelle, gazella aren't sentient either, so it's not a crime we're willing to enforce. It's not a crime at all.

I'm with Upallnite. Animals lack self awareness. Their behavior is guided by instinct and they have no concept of right or wrong. You can't hold animals responsible for their actions for the same reason that you can't hold crazy people responsible for their actions. Morality is a human thing.
