i am a 24 yr old female who has always had a fun, outgoing personality. i am in a relationship and i have a doctor that has been flirting w/ me since day one. he basically grew on me and he flirted and flirted and complimented me and did and said everything possible, including calling my house to get my attention. when i 1st met him he was just an old man w/ glasses and gray hair, but now i am starting to find him attractive. he started this, and no,, he is not just being nice. i have had many doctors and the stuff he says and does is not normal. im kinda mad bcause he started this whole thing and now i have developed a crush on him within this 4 month period. he is married w./kids and he never talks about his wife just shows me pictures of his kids. i know it's not normal but why does he think he has the right to talk to me th way he does? and i think he knew what he was doing by complimenting me over and over too. his comments always have a sexual undertone to them. what should i do?

Your flirt doctor is married and he stands to lose a lot if he is found messing around with another woman in a divorce settlement. You are being primed as a booty call. Seen it before. I work with these doctors. They spend a lot of time away from home with patients and their wifes don't know if they are at the clinic, the hospital or somewhere in between. The wifes spend a lot of time alone. Dont get trapped. If he respected you, he would be introducing you to his family and taking you out on dates and places with him. why is ne not doing that? Because he sees you as a sex toy and nothing else. Run and dont look back.

Ooook You seem to be very lost. You say you are developing some type of attraction for him too. If thats so, then why are you so against him liking you too. I mean your 24, hes probably some old bastard with tonnes of money. But anyways hes, married so get over it, dont be stupid. Get a new doctor. A FEMALE DOCTOR. Or Get a man. And not the Doc

Get away from him. He is acting unethically. If he is willing to act unethically, it means something is wrong with him.
There are special rules for doctors. It's part of the understanding when we take the oath. It simply is not allowed for us to act that way inside the office. Only a doctor who was really messed up in the head would do that.

Talk about his wife, tell him that you want to meet her. Don't give him a chance to flirt with you. And just plain ignore his calls once in a while, so that he knows that you are not interested.

Run like the wind, Bullseye. This could be serious. Just get out of it as fast as you can. Besides, you don't want to be the "other woman." Tell your parents about it and ask them for advice.

Find another doctor and report this one. He is not upholding his oath to first do no harm. He is harming you and his family. You are probably not the first one he has tried this with. Clear your head and realize you are headed for trouble if you continue down this path.
