There are many people who feel as you do, I am one of them. but "God" is love, to me. The greatest power in the known universe, it encompasses all who embrace and it is everywhere. And "God" does not send us to hell, we live in hell by choices we make and some that we don't. And hell is a state of mind, not a place. Peace

I don't have the complete answer, but I will give a shot at it.
If a person commit a sin habitually, then that imples that this person does not really like God, since he knows that what he is dong upsets God (or at least it implies that this person is indifferent to God's feelings).
If a person does like God, then don't you think that spending an eternity facing God's displeasure is torment?
Hell is isolation from God. If people do not like God, then God eventually takes back all that he gave them (pleasure, peace happiness) and leave them alone for eturinity, because that is what they wanted.
Before one becomes too judgmental on God, ask yourself, why do most people have children? Just so that their children can turn into smart-mouthed teenagers and rebel? No one has children just because they thought that they needed a smart-mouth brat to give them a hard time because their life was too peaceful & quiet without children. If that was all there was to it, then you wouldn't have bothered to have children in the first place.
Most people have children because they believe that having children will bring them joy -- increasing the size of your family increases the number of your relationships.
If those relationships are good -- that is, marked by mutual gratitude & respect on both sides -- then it is fun to have this relationship. If the relationship is bad -- marked by one person being hostile, abusive, or indifferent -- then you cast that person out of your life altogether so you don't have to deal with him anymore (sounds like hell, doesn't it?).

When you read the New Testament you will see that it talks more about hell than heaven.
Since the beginning its been about good and evil heaven and hell.
Yes we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
And yes you do need Jesus but that is not enough.
You need to be commited to the Word of God and not sin.
it is more than just believe in Jesus, it is a way of life.
You were created to have free will. God has given us all free will in order to decide for our selves to serve Him or not and those who choose to follow Him, will be blessed. If you reject Him and what He has done for you then you are doomed and hev brought judgemnt over yourself.
But you have already felf the Spirit of God speak to your heart and you have felt the power of the Holy Spirit convincing you.
Why then are you looking for a way out and try to deny what your heart is yearning for. At this stage you also know between right and wrong and you know that Jesus is waiting and that He is calling you to come to Him.
Do not wait any longer. time is short the coming of the Lord is at hand and the tribulation round the corner and who will survive?

God does not send anyone to hell. God wants us all with Him in heaven. God has given you the free will to choose which path in life you will take. The path to Him and heaven,to walk that path you must totally submit yourself to Him, you follow the commandments, you ask for forgiveness of your sins, you repent, and try and sin no more, if you do you must repeat the above steps. If you choose to follow the opposite path, the path away from God (which would be hell),you do this by sinning all the time, not asking for forgiveness, not repenting, and just plain live an evil life. You show God not only by your faith and which path you are on, your fruits and actions show it also. Remember only you can choose which path in life you will take.

The Bible hell is the grave. Death gets you there and since Adamic sin caused death, sin gets you there also. However, repenting and turning around can also get you forgiven and Jesus made the way open for us to stand as his children instead of as Adam's. God does not want you to be a robot without individual thoughts, feelings, etc. He has given us guidelines to help us to be safe and happy, however, but we must want to follow them or else following them is of no use anyway because our hearts are not doing so out of love for God and neighbor anyway. In the end, some will live in peace and happiness because they heeded God's guidelines. The others will be destroyed forever, but it will have been their choice to have that destiny, not God's.

Good questions...
1. Commiting an individual sin doesnt get you to hell. A lifestyle of rejection of the Christian God is what gets you to hell.
2. Just believing that Jesus died doesnt get you to heaven. You have to sincerely commit your life to Jesus Christ (based on what he did for us on the cross). True commitment of your life to Christ will result in your doing your best to live in obedience to His teachings.
3. Yes humans are insignificant compared to God. However we are the most complex creatures in the universe, and appear to be specifically created to be able to have relationship with God... in this sense we are not insignificant... we are special...
4. People are NOT sent into unbearable suffering for all eternity "just for not being convinced into some organized practice"... Hell is a place where people experience the Just consequences for the harm they did to others (by their actions or by their inaction). The punishment will fit the crime. The Bible indicates that there are different levels of punishment in hell. And the language used in the Bible is consistent with Hell not being necessarily eternal.
5. The Christian God is perfect and all knowing. Yes, he knows that people are going to have their own opinions. What he has done is to provide us a wide variety of evidence, so that any human who sincerely seeks the God of the Universe will find him.
For scientific and intellectual evidence for the existence of God, see http://www.godsci.org/gs/godsci/evidence.htm
I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ (e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/seek.html ).

if people cant accept god on his terms, which according to christianity would be believing jesus was his only son and was god at the same time and everything, then god sees the same people as rejecting him, so if ur not gonna get into heaven theres no other alternative then to be sent to hell. and ur right, god knew ahead of time about everyone being their own person. he also knew that adam and eve were gonna eat the forbidden fruit, but thats the point, god gives us choice and he wants us to choose him

There is no logic, it's completely illogical. An all powerful, all good, and all knowing god would not send anyone to hell. Christianity is morally bankrupt.
Infinite punishment for finite sins:
God is perfectly just, and yet he sentences the imperfect humans he created to infinite suffering in hell for finite sins. Clearly, a limited offense does not warrant unlimited punishment. God's sentencing of the imperfect humans to an eternity in hell for a mere mortal lifetime of sin is infinitely more unjust than this punishment. The absurd injustice of this infinite punishment is even greater when we consider that the ultimate source of human imperfection is the God who created them. A perfectly just God who sentences his imperfect creation to infinite punishment for finite sins is impossible.

First off he doesnt send us to Hell we send ourselves there he gives us a choice and we do the rest by ourselves. He knows we have our own oppions but he is our creator the beginning and the end the great and powerful I Am how can we ever begin to understand why God does the things he does. He loves all of us and wants us to be with him but he put us on this Earth to give us a choice

OK first of all u don't go to hell cause u have sinned. everyone has sinned and fallen short of his glory. u go to hell cause u don't have a close relationship with Christ. God doesn't force u to be saved, u have a choice. u either go to heaven or hell the is no other place to go. i hope u make the right choice and decide to go to paradise instead of u having a miserable eternity.
