Exodus 15:2
2 The LORD is my strength and my song;
he has become my salvation.
He is my God, and I will praise him,
my father's God, and I will exalt him.

2 Samuel 22:3
3 my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield and the horn [a] of my salvation.
He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior—
from violent men you save me.

So tell me what you think...

Yes, the Old Testament can really soar in its praises of the one
G-d.
Samuel's inquiries unto G-d, regarding what King Saul (and later King David) should do with their armies was particularly interesting from the standpoint of my being a soldier who stood in harm's way more than once.
In those days people like Samuel existed. My hope for the future is that someone like him is born today.

I think if you find strength and inspiration in these quotes from Exodus and Samuel than I think it's great. For someone who has a belief in God these are meaningful words and I say if they have meaning for you and make your days better than they are worth a lot right there.

These are the experiences of two different individuals on two different occasions.

For example:
For a child when a mother feeds him/her, she is the food. When the Mother caress him/her she is love. When the Mother saves him/her from an accident she is the Savior.

1Peter 2:11.
There are two types of protection Soul protection and physical protection.
The body can be beaten but the soul cannot be touched.

No you didn't make me come here, but I have the freedom to reply if I want to, so grow up.

My opinion: you should read books that you can actually learn something from, not 2000 year old mythology.

Doesn't make any sense - In fact very boring - that's why most people including Christians don't read the bible and are forced to do so.
