The difference between men and women.........?

Question

When a man gains 20 lbs, it's his wife's trophy.
When a woman gains 20 lbs, she's been eating too many bon bon's.

When a man gets grey hair, he's distinguished.
When a woman get's grey hair, it's time to trade her in on a younger model.

When a man sleeps around, he's experienced and must be really good in bed.
When a woman has sex at all, she's a slut.

When a man wants a perfect 10 body on his woman, he has taste.
When a woman wants a perfect 10 body on her man, she's a picky b!!ch!

Why are all of these double standards so acceptable in today's society? Why, as women, do we still put up with this crap?

Dont' get me wrong, I'm not feminish either. I just hate the double standard! Especially when men make insensitive remarks about how one woman looks better than another and the guy who made the comment doesn't look much better than the woman he just put down!

I'm also not trying to man-bash, this is a double standard of society en mas!

Wow Good point!!....did you make this poem up?Because its embedded in our society. I got into a disagreement about the double standard with my mom...If you think about how women are portrayed through out history you will see that women is expected to act a certain way for men even today. But you know what I say..........I say screw them and society's double standards!!!!

Because that is how we have been raised and will still be raised for many years to come. It is healthier to be skinny. So therefor it is attractive for men. Men and woman have attractions based on mating. It is only natural for a man or a woman to choose the healthiest prettiest women. Its just nature dont take it to heart. We are all pretty inside and there is a man out there for grey, sluty, big belly'd woman. Have a great night!

It's all presentation and expectation really. Between a man and a woman the real thing would be if they fit together and how they can keep up with that, beyond the expectations and presentations.

Well you know anita its the people like you who pretend to be smart, but are nothing more than poor trash..useless and only feels good about themselves when they trash other people. and hey I'll say it again God still loves you...at least he doesn't think you are as worthless as you think you are...things will get better for you..just be yourself and someone somewhere (God only knows) will like you..but until then, just pray that God would make you a better person...because we all know you need to change your ways!! I don't think they are....men who gain look bad, I like gray hair because I am middle-aged, I didn't when I was young. There aren;t that many men who are "good" in bed, so that's full of water....NO ONE is a "10"......my view is that older men like young women because they are scared of getting older..it helps them feel like they are young...that leave us over 35's out...but do we really need those men??? NO!
