Sometimes in the car someone will get an apple or chips really loudly but they are dropping me off. Wouldnt it be nicer to wait til I get out ?
Apples and chips are loud, but good, is it nice to eat so loudly around others ?

it's not really rude but some people get annoyed. maybe because they're hungry. it's entirely possible to eat loud food quietly.

i work with someone that is doing the "atkins" diet ( cheats more then on the diet...anyway) she eats Pork rinds from 830 to 430.........AHHHHHHH I feel like i am going to really freak out some days, so I turn up my yahoo or aol radio so I can try to drown it out, we have to be at our desks and they are like 6-8 feet apart. so all day crunch, crunch, crunch.... Not to mention they stink to high heavens!!!

I think as long as they offer you some, eat with their mouth closed and don't smack and make a big production, it should be fine.
You can bring some "quiet snacks" (cheese...grapes, etc. ) if you offered it to them, maybe they'll be more inclined to bring thtat stuff!

its not rude but some people (like myself) just cant stand the sound of people eating...the worst, listening to people munch on popcorn in the movie theater. damn, that pisses me off.
