Yes, I do... :)
I do this in obedience to Jesus Christ.
I am a Christian... I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ (e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/seek.html ).
For scientific and intellectual evidence for the existence of God, see http://www.godsci.org/gs/godsci/evidence.htm
Cordially,
John

I started volunteering at the Easter Seals Society with special needs children when I was a teenager. Because of enjoying helping the children so much through that work I went on to college and have a degree in Psychology and Special Needs with a minor in Sociology. I have taught in all types of situations from preschool to adults, from Private school to institutions and I am currently working on my Masters Degree in Psych and Special Needs. Volunteering can enrich and shape a life, it certainly has mine!! I still try to volunteer as much as possible today, it just feels so wonderful to do something for someone else, and the payback is just beyond any monetary amount you could think of! If you have not volunteered, I highly recommend it!! Have a good night.

Yes I do. One of my favorite ways to spend my free time is to volunteer and donate supplies to an organization called A Gift for Teaching.
"The mission of A Gift For Teaching is to ensure that children have the basic tools for learning by transferring, at no cost, the community's surplus supplies and merchandise into the hands of teachers and school children in need. The schools participating are from the most impoverished areas, based on the percentage of students enrolled in The Federal Free/ Reduced Lunch Program."
Since October 2002, they have distributed over $2.64 million in school supplies (including almost a quarter million pencils) and have served over 50,000 school children in our county alone.
The greatest reward I receive in return for volunteering and donating is a "Thank You" card or letter from a student or class. In my office I have a poster that a class made as a gift for me.
Without this organization, and the support of businesses, organizations and individuals, many students would not have even the basic supplies they need to be able to learn and have a quality education.

I live in a community where the educated blacks keep the unlearned blacks poor, it's a every day job, u will have to call it volunteer work because no one wants to stand up for these people or speak on their behalf, all volunteer work is not a bed of roses, we need more laborers in the Fields, it's really said that children have to suffer because of some one else greed

I volunteer at the local ELKS Lodge here in Canada where our main objective is helping children in need. ( they do have lodges in the US as well, although we are separate organizations - Check them out!! )
We are a national based "fraternal" organization ( I use the term fraternal loosely as women can be members as well )
We have a national charity with our sister organization called "The ELKS and Royal Purple fund for Children", and sponsor numerous projects on the provincial level, such as Addictions Awareness and Teasing & Bulling programs in schools as well as speach and hearing programs.
On the local level, our Lodge volunteers with the Special Olympics, Minor Hockey, Purchase medical equipment for special needs children for the schools or families.
If you or someone you know is interested in being involved in a wonderful organization I have included the links to both the Canadian and US websites.

Yes, I do cleaning work at a historic house in our city. The ladies there are much of an age with me and I have made some delightful friends. I also work as an archivist at a military museum.

Yes, a local Rotary Club, chamber of commerce, and your local city offices are great places to find organizations that need good volunteers. There are plenty of options once you start looking.
