First: Who was the English guy who invented the Rapture around 1830?

Second. Who was the guy in the American west who predicted the Rapture would come pretty much every year between roughly 1845-1860 and became rich selling ascension robes to his followers?

Hello friend,
I am sorry I don't have the specific information you seek, but there is a certain meeting in the air where you'll be able to get those answers directly from the One who knows for sure.

If you need a ride, check out John 5:24 and 1 Thes. 4:13-18.
Blessings,
2 Tim. 2:7

I believe the guy from the American west was named William Miller. Do a search for Millerites and you should come up with some information. As for who "invented" the rapture, it's clearly spelled out in Scripture, although there is disagreement among many people as to when the rapture will occur. The perspective that I believe adheres closest to Scripture would occur after the Tribulation but before the wrath of God. The link below is an article I've posted about this perspective.

From wikipedia ~

[It is]attribute that doctrine to a 15-year old Scottish-Irish girl named Margaret MacDonald (a follower of Edward Irving) who had a vision in 1830.
The later popularization of the term is associated with teaching of John Nelson Darby and the rise of premillennialism and dispensationalism in the United States at the end of the 19th century. The doctrine of the rapture was further popularized by an evangelist named William Eugene Blackstone, whose book "Jesus is Coming" sold more than one million copies[1], and then by its inclusion in the Scofield Reference Bible.

There was a History of the Bible episode on the History channel on this last week. You might also check their website and see if they have any information

God bless you well all i can say to you is that in matthew 24 vrs 3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"

4Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ, and will deceive many. so you have to be careful also in vrs 36 No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 37As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
42"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. no one really knows when the rapture will occur don't belive just belive in God and matthew 24 vrs 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. God bless you if any question email me God bless you

It's really not that simple. The "rapture" as it has become know lately is an ancient thing which was changed in the 1830's I think.
