why is it when a male cheats on his women its no big deal. but when a women cheats on her man we are automatically called sluts, whores and so on. im sorry but men who cheat are just as guilty just as a woman is guilty. people make mistakes.

who says men think that? I find guys who cheat to be just as repulsive as girls who cheat. I'm not saying I am bi or anything like that, it just speaks of their moral character. It hurts someone no matter which one cheats, so why do it?

You must watch way too much TV and movies or just attract the wrong sort of males. Try fixing your picker or switching to men and leave the boys alone.
There are in life just as many men with positive ethics and morals as there are women.
As a teenager I used to romanticize those nasty ladies and then get hurt when they cheated. I asked them to be my "private slut" for me and somehow the contradiction in the terms Private - Slut just passed me by.
After all a Rock is just a Rock ..... all potential in the world will not change a persons nature and charector if they do not want it to change.

Because women are more forgiving than men thus Men are not held to the same virtues as women. It is women who perpetuate infidelity by continuously offering forgiveness to men who cheat on them.
It is far more common for a man to end a relationship than it is for a female to do so. Simply because a female blames HERSELF as a reason for HIS cheating. Where as a Man blames the woman for HIS cheating.
Not really a "double standard" at all. It is what a Man has been told, taught and learned.....cheat on me and I will forgive you.
Women hang on hoping to make things better. Men let go because they THINK they found something better.
Cheating is NOT a mistake, for one thing. It is merely that men and women see it differently due to the reaction of cheating.

People, men/women go back because of a sense of familiarity, comfort and knowledge of that partner. And this is where you get the "man glitch".
A "man glitch" is when he knows he did you wrong, and more than likely the other woman wasn't what he thought she was, or SHE dumped HIM? So he will seek the comfort of who he knows will forgive his impropirity..........YOU.
And You/the woman, thinks she WON him back!
So you forgive him ...........and the whole "man can get away with the cheating thing" just got confirmed.

It is not a big deal when a man cheats on his woman, or when a woman cheats on her man in many cultures around the world. It is allowable in Nordic cultures like Sweden (80%) have affairs. It is allowable in some african cultures (95%) have affairs. It was allowable in Wales and Ireland until the Norman invasion. There is a down side to this that Jewish/Christian/Muslim cultures are designed to withstand. That is, transmission of disease sexually. Even cervical cancer is an STD. The bad thing about these cultures is that women, even here in the USA are the ones that are cursed with fidelity.
There is one place where I personally draw the line. If your mate is away servicing our country, and you are screwing around on him/her, you are despicable to me. Of all the people in all the world that they are depending on for love and support it's you. And when you turn away..the suicide rate goes up.

You are right. But the answer is slightly complicated. I'll give you the short version. The world we live in is a patriarchal one and men make the rules, the laws, women are denigrated and punished for the sins of eves. Eve is the one who led Adam out of the garden of eden and to hear some people tell it eve is evil and needs to be punished i.e. pain of pregnancy, period, etc. Put all that together and it is easier to punish women and blame us for all kinds of things as well as call us names while making the same thing men do celebrated and wonderful. A man is a pimp, playa, gigolo, dawg, etc. Women are sluts, tramps, whores, bitches etc.

ur so rite.... but that is the difference between the species.... lol, they think with other things besides their brains when it comes to sex, now ownership is another matter....... they use their little brains to think with when it comes to *the little woman*...... but for real, the males way of thinking goes way back to the days when more than 1 mate was needed to keep the species alive... women nor men lived very long so it was important to keep up the sperm spreading, and all this is so called proven facts, I am NOT totally convinced, but who am I to argue with science ?? anyway, we women have put up with the cheating double standard for so long that men just took over the controls... we need to take them back or at least share more...... dont let him get away with it....... say your sorry, admit your wrong doing, but tell him that under NO circumstance will you ever put up with being labled those ugly things from him or anyone... you are human and make mistakes just the same as him.... he will either forgive you and drop it or not, you can NOT make him..... good luck and God bless

It's just as wrong if a male does it as when a girl does it. OH....and FYI 1+1=3 is a mistake. Cheating is a willingness to participate in something you know is wrong. It's more than a mistake.

People dont make mistakes. People choose everything in life. If you want to cheat so be it. Who in the world ever said it was wrong. I would never do it but thats just me.

because guys get turned on instantly and can't help themselves. Girls take awhile to turn on so if they do cheat, they have to want to cheat. thats the difference. guys don't want to but do because they can't help it. and girls cheat because they want to and that makes them get called sluts becaue they want to cheat.
