A cancelled one - okay sorry that was too easy!
"Rewards" is just another term for gimmick - they come and go, often within months of signing up for the card.
Since you need only one credit card - ONE - not 1 + 1 + 1 but ONE, whichever card you choose should meet your standards, not the issuing company. "Frequent flier miles" are worthless if you don't fly frequently, "Rebate points" are a euphemism for pick a prize you don't need, "Cashback rewards" are dependent on how much you spend.
Check with your bank/credit union first before shopping elsewhere.

The only reward is to credit card company issuing the card to you. Its all about the money and they make it off you with the interest. Your best bet is to pay it off full every month and don't get a card that asked for a member ship fee.

While American Express does offer fantastic rewards, it's an expensive card for merchants and many places won't accept it. Spotty acceptance doesn't work for me so I use my Wells Fargo Visa rewards card.
I get a $500 plane ticket for every $25K I spend and that's a pretty good deal.

Chase with Mastercard. You get 5% off of gas purchases at any gas stations. Go to www.chase.com and you'll find different credit cards with a lot of cool rebates and rewards.

I can't speak to rewards. However I can say that Capital One has treated me well. I got 0% for one year. After that, I called and said I wanted to cancel the card, they offered the 0% to stay another year.

I haven't found one, its all a trap that keeps our are economy going.
I personally like American Express because I knew I had to pay it by the end of the month to avoid ridiculous charges.
I like a low rate Visa (accepted all over the world) but before you know it your rates increase whether your making monthly payments.
Just be careful in choosing, ask questions perhaps get insurance. They are all pretty bad.
