Since he ask you out and you have good feeling on him, why you don't give yourself a chance to go out with him and get to know more about him. Then you can decision you have further relationship with him or not.

you shouldn't go out with him if you are going to hurt him. if he hasn't done anything and that is going to bore you then you should leave him alone. it is the nicer thing to do.
