it wouldn't matter because people would still float to the other sections. Christians already do it in the gay section.

No. The purpose of this cateogry is to peacefully, rationally learn about other people's religions and one's own. The only good suggestion I've heard is to separate into "Religion" and "Spirituality" (two very different things) so that mystics, pagans, etc. can discuss spiritual matter without having to deal with the !@#$% fundamentalists in here preaching.

No, because I don't think that splitting up categories will mean an end to the mocking. What is to prohibit someone from entering into whichever category he/she chooses even if there are separate categories?

It's got it's pros and cons. It would be nice if only people wanting to participate in a friendly manner went to the appropriate site, but you know that the people looking to make fun of people would use it to seek out the people they wish to make fun of. So, us Christians must do what we were told to do, and just turn the other cheek.

Is segregation in society ever a good thing? In the real world we are all mixed together and have to learn to play nice so why make this any different than the real world.

It sounds like a good idea, but even then you'll still have the people who will want to start bickering instead of sharing honest and intelligent ideas.

Good idea... and I think that there should be a separate section for Atheists so that they stop pushing their beliefs on everyone
