Serious: I would like to know, as this is my first cat, and never knew this could happen!
I have a two year old cat - A bit over weight. He suddenly when trying to walk would fall over.
Going to the vet I was told he was born with bad knees. I asked why after two years had it developed now! He said it could happend again, but the weight doesn't help.
He showed me, and I heard it the knees popping.
I was so frightened I thought he'd never be able to walk agian. Vet gave in an inflammatory shot.
It has been two weeks Fritz has become more active but knows his limits and lays down.
I had to lift him into the litter box... etc
As a human who has thrown out his back, I was told it will be the same for Fritz to heal his knees!
P.S. Fritz is on a diet!

Vet also told me that this will happen again, but not serious - just to bring in for shot when it does!
Some idiot said I should put him down!
How must I do that when he is walking, even playing, and using the litter box by himself now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What you must do is in most cases purchase a type of muddle containers that has a canopy with partitions connected to it; my cat did the identical factor and purchasing a brand new muddle field with a canopy labored. When you do purchase a brand new one, nevertheless, you must cautiously and effectively educate your cats in order that they realize the odor and position of it in order that it does not pee in different areas, however don't scold it.

Wow, if you are talking about luxating patellas, that is unusual in a cat. We see it a lot in little dogs. If he was born with this problem and then injured his cruciate ligaments, he'll need surgery to fix them. Ask your vet to refer you to an orthopedic veterinary surgeon.
