Okay I'm not in high school but I remember mine to a tee.
Our high school is HUGE. My locker was at the other end, by the gym, and we only had 4 minutes to pass between classes. I remember being so stressed out that I forgot my schedule in my locker and had to go to the office and get a new one. Don't forget your schedule, first off. Secondly, I had to walk around in circles to find each room. I would suggest going to your school to do a walk-through before the first day. Then you won't be as lost!!! I also remember feeling very grown up. I think you will get over your nervousness soon and start to realize how much fun high school can be. Good luck!

I am in 11th grade now, I am actually homeschooled so it wasn't a big deal going from 8th to 9th grade for me. I mean, it's still school and stuff so just act normal, it's really not that bad! Relax and have a good time!

I had a panic attack the first day of school because I didn't know anyone. I felt really alone and nervous.
Just learn to BREAAATHHE and not be so nervous. You'll find someone to hang out with. Trust me on this.

I'm not in high school anymore I'm a college freshman. but when I was in high school and they still do this on the first day... its called Squah the Frosh. It was miserable they pull pranks on you scare you out of the corners come up randomly and draw on you and put stink bombs in your lockers. It was bad. I thought it was only a guy/guy thing but its guys and girls doing it to guys and girls. It was soo embarrasing.
But if you haven't already heard that your school has one...I doubt there is one so there is nothing to worry about.
Good Luck!

I was the same way, just enjoy it. If I could go back to those days I would. It will be a great experience. Just remember, the entire ninth grade is feeling the exact same way.

seventh grade became especially hellish. i in my view transferred colleges and went to a shape college -- decrease back interior the day -- and it became a *large* circulate. superior issues a hundred and ten p.c.. so as that's a course that's truly useful to evaluate as nicely. at present I homeschool my very own little ones, a minimum of till the highschool point. by that element *maximum* of the worst is over and little ones are style of having over themselves. (a minimum of in *my* adventure.) comprehensive ROFL approximately your dad's 2nd subject. :-) did you comprehend, although, that faculty districts will frequently domesticate this fantasy between mothers and dads? Ours did. They marketed on line public college as an decision for at-probability drop-outs and little ones too bodily or mentally frail for the faculty room placing. So if the verify admits that their baby does college on line, all the different mothers and dads supply 'em those sidelong glances and initiate off muttering approximately what's-incorrect-with-HIS-baby. (and you concept peer stress became in basic terms for little ones at school! Nope, that's something they're going to use to make certain you comply with your pals, too, and you install vinyl siding and get the suitable suited style of vehicle and characteristic the suitable suited style of activity. Peer stress is definitely interior the person international, and in all probability keeps the economic gadget buzzing to a definite degree. adequate philosophy.) So WHY could the faculty do this? money, of direction! in case you saunter into college daily, the faculty gets X form of greenbacks in (property) tax money. there is a few that's interior of reach, and a few comes from the state, and a solid hunk of it comes from the federal government, too. Homeschoolers supply the faculty $0. Homeschoolers who register with the state supply the faculties a minor quantity of $. little ones who enroll in on line public colleges supply the faculty $2,000 to $3,000. little ones who heat a table daily interior the brick development talked approximately as "Public college" supply the faculty $5,000. the place do you think of the faculty needs you to be? and how straightforward are they going to be approximately what homeschooling is, do you think of?

I wouldn't worry to much about it. Don't feel bad if you meet a bunch of people and forget you met them later. It is not that traumatizing and you'll probably feel like it is "your" school in less than a week.

It was so easy. No need to worry. You might get picked on because you are a freshman but don't worry. You will have your old friends and make new ones. The work is easy.
