As a college student, the last thing I want to do is waitress after I spent all day going to class and studying. If I were you, I'd try to find a desk job somewhere (answering phones, etc).
Some thoughts: car dealerships (usually open in the evenings and need nice friendly people in the showroom), the YMCA, or a hotel where they are looking for a front desk person.
Good luck!

Well, retail is good, but chances are you'll get little more than minimum wage. I have never worked in a restaurant, but if you wouldn't mind being a waitress, and have a good personality, chances are you can make pretty good money, which is great for a college student! Especially if you get at a decent restaurant!

I can tell you, that it is not waiting tables. A thankless job. I wish I had worked part time with a charitable organization or a political party that I shared views with. Even if it was opening or sending out mail. Both jobs would have helped out with my character. I believe in charma and helping others, however indirectly, counts. If I was following through with an organization that directly effects the laws and politics of how we live, I would think I was doing my part.

Probably at a restaurant like Chili's or something. You get paid about $13 an hour plus tips.
