I don't ascribe to any particular faith or philosophy. I think that all the ones I know have some answers, but none has all the answers, and each has it's weaknesses and logical errors. I could never put complete faith in one way of thinking or believing. But there are a lot of people out there who seem wholeheartedly committed to their faiths or beleif systems. And not to be rude, but to those people I must ask, what do you get out of it? And what makes you so damn sure?

I am alive, well- have lost no memories and all they say is...

I am a pagan, and I understand where you are coming from, As I am adamant about my religion, I also consider myself a person of science. In my opinion, religions were created by man so they would no longer feel lonely in the world or so that they have something bigger than temselves to live for. I really do believe that; I also believe in my wiccan faith. I pray, meditate, and perform certain ritualistic ceremonies and I must say that what I have asked for, I have recieved be it materialistic or emotional. So what if there may no be any great dieity or architech out there in the universe, but it does feel kind of good to think that there just may be someone(s) out there looking out and after me.

Again, you ask what I get out of being pagan? I get the knowledge that I have my gods and goddesses looking out after me to make sure I am alright (and they will deliver help if I need it).

I did a WHOLE LOT of research into different philosophies and religions, and talked to people, and did a lot of thinking, and tried different things. Then, I took what I liked and thought was good, and made up my own belief set, which has no dogma, and is flexible enough to incorporate new information as it comes in. This works for me because I am an independent, self-reliant sort of person and I like to think for myself. In fact, I am pretty resistant to having other people tell me what to think. But there are some people out there who aren't up to the challenge of figuring out what truth is, so they latch on to whatever is handy and turn off their brains and never have to put any effort into anything ever again. They just do what they're told, and they're happy with that. They are afraid to question anything, and it goes along with what everyone else is doing, so it fits right in to the way they want their lives to be- simple, easy, and just like everyone else. Some people are afraid to be different.

I have all of my questions answered which is why I believe in the Baha'i Faith, we believe the religions are unified like school and when one no longer becomes applicable to the social laws of the period of history in which it was revealead it becomes the object of corruption which is when a new Manifestation of God comes to reveal the then present day religion for that social time on earth. As Baha'is we believe in

• The oneness of mankind.

• Universal peace upheld by a world government.

• Independent investigation of truth.

• The common foundation of all religions.

• The essential harmony of science and religion.

• Equality of men and women.

• Elimination of prejudice of all kinds.

• Universal compulsory education.

• A spiritual solution to the economic problem.

• A universal auxiliary language.

and we also belive that the Faith is the present day religion, personally I believe that people aren't educated to the Faith which is why there is only a certain percentage of applicablity today to the dated Revelations. The full truth, we as Baha'is believe is the Baha'i Faith, and can answer all the questions you could think of.

For me I have tried just about every religion under the sun before I decided to come back to the religion of my upbringing. I always wanted to do the exact opposite of what I was told was correct. Therefore, going and trying everybody else's religion seemed to be the order of the day for me. However, I never found peace of mind until I decided to open my mind and realize that everything about the religion I've chosen feels right to me. Not only does it feel right in my heart of hearts but I know that the Bible has helped me to come to the conclusion that it is right--for me. I have nothing but the highest of respect for my religion because they taught me to not trust anyone else's opinion but to look to the Bible for my answers. When I ask a question, I am referred to the Bible for the answer, and am not given opinions, or suggestions. This is what I get out of it, and why I believe whole heartedly that it is the only true religion for me.

Representing Christian. Christ is a crutch that helps me make it through the tough times. He is a friend when no one else will be. He is in controll which means I don't have to be. I did not choose to love Him first, He chose me.(and I ain't easy to live with)and to Him, I am worth loving and worth dying for. In my weakness He is strong. I am not His puppet, I am His child(sometimes I can't say that about my parents.) I can go on, but I guess you get the picture.

I grew up christian. Now for the past several years I have followed my need for more peace in my life and a more spiritual outlook. I have found that peace and spirituality by studying the Old Religion, or Paganism.
Brightest blessings.

I was raised Catholic, so religion was always a strong point in my family from as early as I can remember.......Now that I am older, I tend to think that rules of churches are made by men for men (and women)........I live solid in my belief that there is a God and a eternal resting place for all of us when we decide to go on......
