Are you willing to make a sacrifice of your own for that person's benefit and the good of your future together as a couple? (NOT quitting school and having babies, that is NOT a sacrifice, that's just immaturity). What I mean is: if that person needed you to take a part-time job right now or as soon as you were old enough, and save every dime so you could both have some savings for the future (ie college, marriage), would you? Would you consider giving them their space (and just walk away) if they needed a few more years before they got serious with one person? If they moved across the country, what lengths would you go to keep in touch and make sure they are doing well, if they needed you to do so?

If THAT sounds like a bit much to think about when you're only 14...then obviously You are not ready, be patient, in time...you will know it's true LOVE when you are bit more mature and the YOU won't have to ask ANYONE, YOU WILL KNOW. Love is not about age, because of course in some cultures you probably might already be engaged or married. But the thing is MATURITY is something a person cannot get without some wisdom and a bit of time.

NO..."No I dont think this is true love its infatuation, its all very fun and exciting but seriously do you think u will stay with this guy - think of all the partys, all the fun, college, moving in with ur friends etc. u would miss out on, Plus u dont know what kind of money this guy is gonna make at 14 .... u dont know if he'll even finish school yet. Cute 14 year olds can turn into 38 year old men who live at home .... maybe he's got no ambition, that can get on ur nerves real fast. Just enjoy the moment, for the fun now.

But it aint gonna last."

Yes I think so. I think it does depend on how mature you are though. I have always been very mature for my age. I was in love at age 14, and still am. I am 22 now, and have been with my boyfriend for 7 1/2 years! It can happen. I do want to add this- I think we were/are very lucky.

No. You can experience love but true romantic love requires developed emotions. Your brian is still forming at age 14 and you are not fully mature.

hell yes.
I'm quite in love. and I have been since I was fourteen.

I'll tell you my story.

well... I'm fifteen, she's seventeen
I fell in love with her within fourty-five minutes of meeting her.
we've been dating for six months.
I love her...
so much...
I can't possibly express it in words
now as for you

love is entirely normal and you probably are in love with him.
now then how do you feel when you're with him?
all warm and fuzzy on the inside?
like you want to be pressed up against him?
that's a manifestation of love
like you want to be with him forever?
and no matter how he changes, or where he goes, you want to go with him? that's love
and you don't care if he looses both his arms, and both his legs an eye, and his penis in a car accident, you'd still love him?
that's really love then. not just infatuation!

No, but it sure as heck can seem like it. Most people do not meet the love of their lives till after high school. Let yourself have casual boyfriends/girlfriends now and concentrate on your studies. There is so much more ahead of you.
