I have a golden retriever and he needs to be de-shed!!!!!!!

not for the price...It looks like a hand stripper..but with a different handle...i find it works better on shorter hair dogs ..like the lab...try a shedding rake and undercoat rake...and give the dog a bath with (dog) conditioner..and leave it on for 20 mins,,,OR take is to a groomer and ask about a shedless program! the furminator does work but is drastically over priced, try something called a de-shedding tool made by bamboo, its about 14.99. it does the exact same thing and is the best brush ive ever owned

YEs the FUrminator works extremely well, but it is ridiculously over-priced.

I doubt it... just brush your dog daily 3xs a day or more and get used to the shedding or shave it.

Yup, I have one and it works OK, but not great. I like shedding blades instead, they work wonderfully!
