Even if she is young, this is the age they start asking. I think it's sad that she couldn't ask one of her parents though. Nothing like running to the internet for your sex education classes.

Honey, people *have sex* (I prefer the term make love) because they either are deeply in love with each other, and it's a way to express their love and take it to a higher level of closeness; or they are simply just 'in lust' which means they don't love each other, but just want to do it because it feels good (and it doesn't always feel good so don't run out and do it), or they make love because they are IN love and wish to start their own family (have children). Then there's the sick puppies who rape or molest people, they do it because they are mentally messed up and need medical care because their brains don't function right. (stay far away from those people).

Look at your local library, or in your school library this year for teenage guides for sex books, and books on girls coming into their teenage years, puberty, etc. Your librarian will help you find the books you need, don't be shy to ask her.
