Even though we are planning another baby, I want to start getting rid of my baby belly left over from my daughter. I have been trying to work on it for over a year.
I have tried bike riding, sit ups, crunches, and eatting less (that was no problem, my 18 month old eats more then my some days because I am just not hungry).
Anyways, I don't have any money to buy exercise DVDs or equipment and I just want some advice on how to help get rid of it.
I also have a bad back so crunches and sit ups REALLY hurt, but I keep trying to work with it because I don't know anything else.
Advice PLEASE and be nice! Thanks!

I know that WHAT I eat can be the issue too, I have cut out a lot more breads (I use to take two sandwiches to work, I only take one now) and pasta and I am trying to eat more yogurt and fruits and veggies. Anything that will fit my tight budget.

Plastic surgery will only come after we have the second child (and I can afford it) and I can not take supplements because I am on my 3 months of prenatal vitamins before we try to get pregnant. I was just hoping there was some simple exercises, I already chase my daughter all night long. LOL! We've started going for walks before bed and I just let her lead. She loves it!!

I don't eat at fast food or other restraunts, can afford them. I make everything or occationally (like on a busy day) we have a frozen dinner, but not often. Lately it is yogurt for breakfast, yogurt for snack, ham sandwich with cheese (little mayo) for lunch, fruit for snack, and then dinner (whatever we are making that night). After dinner my daughter and I go for walks or I exercise in the living room with the few DVDs I have. Water all day and maybe tea with lunch and dinner.

Eating less won't necessarily help, you need to eat right too. Eat alot of fruits vegetables and low fat meats. Also drink lots of water, and do regular intense cardio exercise. Crunches and sit ups can actually make your belly appear larger because they do not spot reduce the fat, the only enlarge the muscles and push the fat out further, follow my previous advice and be patient. Experimenting with supplements can't hurt but be careful and discontinue use if you find weird effects.

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. loose weight) and you will have more energy. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets don’t work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples: baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads) in one and protein (examples: chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal; they don’t have none or little fat). 30min cardio exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardio, Tues. upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back: seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardio, thurs. lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) Fri. cardio, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising; you do this on Sunday so your body doesn’t go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stick with this you will have a great body. Also drink at least 8oz of water daily! Stay away from McDonalds, Wendy’s, ect. Because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (becon bits, cheese, dressing, ect.) Good Luck :)

Many prepared foods are loaded with preservatives and this causes the body to store the food that is eaten resulting in (guess what)bellies.
Along with the exercise and cutting bake on eating watch the preservatives.

The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:
*1) Burn more calories then you're consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity minus the Thermic Effect of Food (TEF). A website that explains this formula in more detail and will help you determine how many calories you need to reach or maintain a certain weight is at http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/library/weight/calsburned.htm
Get a diet and fitness calculator that you can put on your computer or cell phone. This will allow you to easily calculate the above formula, set goals, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.
Set realistic goals for your ideal body weight. Here are two websites that will calculate a suggested body weight:
Adults: http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm
Teens/Children: http://www.kidshealth.org/kid/exercise/weight/bmi.html
It is difficult and unhealthy to lose more than one or two pounds per week. There are 3,500 calories in a pound. If you eat 500 fewer calories per day for a week you will lose one pound. If you burn through exercise 500 more calories per day for a week you will lose one pound.
*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.
Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as potatoes) and drink lots of water. Read this article for more information on high GL Carbs:
http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/carbohydrates.html
Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Here is an excellent food pyramid that anyone can follow: http://www.rayandterry.com/html/images/PyramidLRG.gif?osCsid=26a424be471d1337e7c2f105d5c64d9d
*3) Exercise on most days by doing cardiovascular training and/or resistance training activities.
Read a book or find a certified trainer to make sure your doing all resistance training exercises correctly. A great book to buy that teaches you the resistance training basics is “Weight Training for Dummies”. A superb magazine to buy with resistance training routines that will not get you bored is "Muscle and Fitness". Signup for the free newsletter. An excellent free online resource is at http://www.exrx.net/
A good book to buy that teaches you the cardiovascular training basics is “Fitness for Dummies”.
*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.
*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”. A superb book to read is “You The Owner’s Manual”. An excellent periodic publication is the “Nutrition Action Health Letter”. A reputable test you can take to measure your biological age is at http://realage.com
Look at all areas where you can enhance your health. For example, make improvements in the quality of the air you breathe. Review outdoor air quality forecasts where you live and get an indoor air purifier. Send me an email or yahoo instant message to "gainbetterhealth" if you want an indoor air purifier recommendation and if you have any questions.
*Click on all the source links below to get the full benefit of the recommendations. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health providers with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.
