See the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee! Stay in Gatlenburg or Pigeon Forge where there is lots of shopping and family activities (something for every age group). And the best part is taking some of the trails (short or long) in the mountains. You'll see waterfalls and hilltops... it's truly beautiful. You'll laugh when you drive through the tunnels - people honk their horns while they're going through. You can also visit Dollywood (that was a hoot). And the people there are very kind. It's a great family trip!

Go through Apple Vacations! And get the "Square Deal" It is a cheap flat rate for everything! Also, the reason it is so cheap is because you know all about your vacation except your hotel, and I worked through Apple before and they only give out the BEST hotels. Its great and so worth it. Try it internationally. example...Puerto Vallarta, Ixtapa, hualtulco, ect.

For families with children...amusement parks are good. I'd stay away from beaches...too many people drinking and partying.
