I'm a vet, Sounds like your vet has done standard medicine to this point. The vet has treated typical problems, but your dog obviously has an atypical problem. The best advice is to indeed go to a specialist like recommended, or at least get another vet to lok at your pet. Until that time, keep the dog hydrated. Lots of water is needed. Do not, I repeat do not change it's diet until a vet examines the dog and tells you to do so. A diet change will likely cause more diarrhea. Continue all medicines, including soloxine.
There is really no good way to tell you how to fix your dog without diagnostics. I am only answering this question because you have gotten some bad answers on here, and you are risking your pet's safety by taking the advice of non professional strangers on this website.

with the heat it hopefully is what the problem is being caused by, don't let her/him drink water, licking ice cubes is better. Don't give your dog his/her regular dog food. Make a mixture of cooked long grain rice (real rice not Minute Rice) and some ground sirloin, because it has less fat content for a few days. I am not a vet but, I would also be calling your Vet for more help. A blood test could eliminate a lot of other serious viruses, the animal might have picked up. But, the ice cubes would really help the dogs system calm down.

Often it is an internal parasite like coccidia or giardia.A sudden change in diet could also be a factor. start by getting your dog on a quality dry food, no people food ,it is hard on the pancreas. Start by calling your vet to see if this is a side effect of the drug, I really don't think it is ,as the vet would have warned you.One of the better foods I have found is either Nutro or Eagle One. Science Diet is not one of the better foods I have found except for their prescription diet which my dog is on for her Liver Shunt. Stay away from dog foods with corn as their first listed ingredient. Have you ever asked yourself why you ate corn in the first place?

HArd to speculate, you would have to look at other symptoms. My dog has Addison's Disease and a thyroid problem that is related. One of the symptoms is diahorrea,
It is rare for your dog to have this illness but it is an example of the possibilities.

We had to give her boiled chicken and white rice bacuse it was the only thing without adding more medicine that helped her.

Try an all natural food for sensitive dogs.

Califonia Natural.
Herring, Barley, Oatmeal, Herring Meal, Herring Oil, Sweet Potatos, Sunflower Oil, Natural Flavors, Vitamin E, Vitamins and Minerals, and Rosemary Extract (THATS IT)

Compare that to your current food ingredients list.... I can almost guarantee you this will clear up once you get your dog on a quality food for sensitive tummys. Good Luck.

Have you contacted your adoption group about this? They may be able to help getting your dog to the hospital/specialist or they may recommend getting a second opinion from their vet. Most adoption groups are *very* good about helping when an adopter is in trouble, they are an invaluable resource. Call someone there NOW.

How long have you had her? I have an Italian Greyhound with the same symptoms and the vets are saying the same thing.

it could be a viral or bacterial infection.... if she has been on soloxine for only a short time, it may be a side effect.....but i do not know if diarrhea is a side effect or not...go to vet!!!

She's either sick or stressed. Greyhounds are very suceptible to diarrhea because of stress.

Much Love & hope she gets better soon!
