Black people have the same identical blood as your wife. Maybe she is thinking of Martians who definitely have green blood. There is sickle cell anemia which is a disease that effects primarily black people which effects the blood. It does not change the color of the blood but the shape of the blood cell. Maybe she was misinformed but that question might be considered racist and deragatory to African Americans.
