My best friend is a sports superstar, but he's got weak ankles... they sprain if he so much as trips. Is there anything he can do to strengthen them? He's thin; weight's not an issue. He's also a runner, and he's only 19, so his health is still good.

The friend could make a couple of sand bags. I knew someone who did this for weak ankles and knees. He made a loop for each foot and ankle to slip through. He lay on the bed and slowly lifted each leg in turn - not too heavy - your friend should test this before starting. Not more than he can cope with but still be able to feel some pressure on lifting.

The friend went on to become a top triathlete by the way. Worth a try that's for sure.

Ive got injured ankles and the best way to strengthen them is there isn't any way to. Humans have really fragile joints.
