I think I may have "injured" it during summer school in physical education.Doing sit ups.Its been hurting the past week/week 1/2 or so(minor). But the pain seems to have worsen alot the past day or so.Do you think its anything serious? What should I try doing. It hurts no matter what position i'm in.Although it feels alittle better when my back is straight as oppose to curved.

The pain isnt bad where it would get to a point where I cant walk or anything. The pain really showed up yesterday. It was barely there a week ago.

If the pain level allows, one of the best things to do for back pain is to take walks...it's always worked for me..ice packs also help to decrease swelling & hasten healing..

As previously suggested... Do NOT GO TO A CHIROPRACTOR!!! They will more than likely create a problem where there is none at the moment ohter than a pulled muscle! You are too young for one first of all!. Pulled/strained muscles take a few weeks to heal and they hurt badly!!Put a MOIST heating pad on for 15 mins. Then put cold compress on the same amt. of time as well right after ,do this for about an hour then let up.Do this twice a day for a few days and then let it heal! If it hurts worse before that then do go to the Doctor! But more than likely you just pulled/strained a muscle. Be careful and do not do anything to agrivate it either Lifting, stretching, bending over etc for about 3 wks. Feel Better!! Oh ya if you have any epsome salts or get your parents to get you some soak in it @ night for a few nights too.! Hope it helps!

sounds alot like a lumbar strain, I"ve had maybe 3 in the past year from lifting. maybe some ice to reduce swelling and if you have any maybe a dose of ibuprofen for two or three days to reduce swelling. pain should go away. maybe don't exercise for a couple of days if possible. if no change in a week go see you know who!

This sounds more like a muscle issue than a bone issue. A chiropractor won't do anything for your muscles. I would recommend an ice pack then switch to heat - lie on it with your knees bent. When you sleep, lie on your back and place a pillow under your knees. This alleviates strain on your low back. Good luck!

You might have just pulled a muscle, but then again you also might have a pinched nerve. If you keep feeling like this in the next couple of days then you might want to go to the chiropractor. Trust me they will fix you right up.

You should see a chiropractor. I had tha same kind of pain when I was a cheerleader, and it was cause my sacroliliac(sp?) was out of place. SO painful!

Just stay in bed, you can still watch t.v...... try and have your girl friend serve all your meals in bed and massage you at night. Then just chill dude. It will be all better in about a week. Trust me.
