This has everything you need to know about ridding your home of fleas. ^^

Dont follow the information it gives about treating your cat. Ask a veterinarian about that.

But do what it says on treating your home.

Advantage, Frontline and Revolution all work great, are safe and easy to apply.

Always buy from a vet. The market has been flooded with dangerous counterfeits and many legitimate retailers have bene fooled. Many dogs and cats have died. A vet practice buys direct from a manufacturer's rep, so they're sure to have the real thing.

Never buy grocery store look-alike products, they can be dangerous too. Last year Hartz Mountain flea drops were pulled from the market due to numerous deaths of dogs and cats, but wholesalers and retailers were allowed to sell product already in the pipeline, so they're still available.

I have 3 cats and last summer they all got fleas and it was aweful. I tried flea collars and stuff but they didnt work. Then I found Hartz advanced care 2 in 1 flea and tick cat spray, it really worked and you cats might not like you for a couple of days after you spray them lol Its about 5 dollars at Wal mart

i have discovered that flea collars don't always do it...not only not getting all the fleas, but depending on if your cat normally wears a collar...ours dont and they end up getting annoyed with them and kicking them off.

i have found that a product called "Advantage" works really well. You put it on the back of their neck and do it once a month. Seems to work on my cats. You can get it from vet clinics or maybe Petsmart. It depends on which places have it. I'm sure if you google it, you might find some places that have it.

revolution for cats gets the eggs and fleas. use a fine tooh comb and catch as many of the fleas as you can drop them in soapy water to kill them. get the once a month flea protection from the vets the grocery store brands dont work. also fleas cause tape worm so after you get rid of all the fleas go to the vets and give weight of your cat and worm him for tape worm and continue to keep using the once a month revolution. the cat will thank you and feel great and your husband will feel happier to. the revolution costs a little more but I have 4 cats and swear by it. YOU PAY FORwhat you get. hope this helps you.this will work

Bath all of your cats in the bath tub with a shampoo with a flea killer or dust them with flea powder but keep this in mind . They are not just on your cats but in your home. You can sprinkle your carpets with salt and then after it has sit awhile you can vaccum it up for some reason this kills fleas. Also, if they are outside cats they will continue to get them so you will have to treat your front and back yard.

Go to the vets or petstore and get Advantage. It is drops you put on the skin between the shoulders. It doesn't get absorbed into the bloodstream, so it is extremely safe and non toxic, and it works fast. Do NOT use an over the counter flea drop, like Hartz or biospot...these can kill your cat.

See the vet. Mine gave us Program to feed to the cats once a month for 6 months. It kills the eggs and exterminates them once and for all. An oil will also be applied on the neck to kill the adult fleas.

if you have tried all the bathes, and cleaning and spray bedding. To bet immediate results you can get a pill from your vet that will kill the kills. Then follow that up with one of the products that you put between their shoulders. Just beware of Hertz products they are not always save for your cat.

Best thing to do is bring your cat tot he vet and get him frontlined, works GREAT...the other thing you'll need to do is flea bomb your house...home depot carries stuff and it not only kills fleas but any other kind of bug in the house...i had the problem last October and no more fleas
