There isn't any other proof other that the one source, the bible, that any of these things actually happened, since we must exclude scientific evidence.Witness accounts are inadmissable, since all witnesses to the events are long dead.

actually, science almost always accurately supports the Bible. i mean, to this day scientists cannot explain why the Big Bang occured, it just "happened". now SOMETHING (and by that i mean God) had to have started it. oh, and did i not mention that the Bible mentions dinosaurs? it does. i don't know exactly what verses, but im sure you can look it up on google if you really want to. and yes, many things in the Bible are supernatural, things that science will never be able to explain. but then you think about how many things there are in today's world that science can't explain, and you get an idea of how little we really know about the universe. when you think about it, we have no reason to doubt that the Bible is accurate. i know none of this is really hard evidence, so if you really want to know, ask a pastor at your chuch =) God bless

As for the kjv I cant say it is accurate or an authority but the actual Hebrew/Aramaic script has been deadly accurate in all prophecy so basically I would have to say either some really great psychics wrote stuff thousands of years ago or inspired men of old wrote stuff thousands of years ago but no matter which it was the book is still on the money right now. Sept.12 2006 nuclear war, river Euphrates, end days
I can also show you many things which are written and have come to pass

There is none other than the fact that it is and it is at least 6,000 years old.
Now, let's take a good first example. Genesis and the Big Bang theory go almost hand in hand and Genesis was written over 6,000 years ago!
Isn't it interesting that Science says basically the same things! There was nothing then POW there was everything!
Where things start to vary is with the evolutionists and Darwinisits. They say water was the spring of all live, the Bible says God and Sand or dust.
Funny, though, the "Earth" plays a part in both views!
Accuracy does not exist. The Bible is written by and transcribed by man. Typos are to be expected! Some texts say 666, another says 616. Oopps!
We have to sort those little details out!
Authority. The Jews have used it as an authority for 6,000 years and it allowed them to survive in the desert! They have their health laws which are a part of the Bible (not used by Christians). They have the utlimate laws of God.
Don't kill or murder (have a problem with that authority, not accurate enough?)
Don't be an adulterer or adulerate (again, have a problem with that one?)
Don't lie (probblem here?)
Don't covet (yearn for or be jealous of) what is your neighbors.
Love your neighbor as you love yourself. Do you have a problem with the authority or accuracy of LOVE?!
When hit, don't get angry and fight back, turn the other cheek!
And remember, science can't explain where all the Enegery, Matter and Mass in the universe came from.
It plainly states IT WAS ALWAYS HERE AND WILL ALWAYS BE HERE.
Conservation of mass, engery and to a degree matter!
The Universe has had essentially the same mass before and after the Big Bang.
Science can't say where it came from!
Science can't put amino acids into a jar, shake them up and create one living life cell!
Science can't prove their own theories in this realm!
As a kid I was taught MAtter can't be created nor destoryed, now with the discovery of Anti-Matter that changes it. Thus, what I learned in Science turns out to be a LIE.
Science is neither accurate nor authoritative!
Sorry!
The discovery of Anti-Particles in modern eccellerators nullified Science as it was taught to me in school! In other words, they said that THEY GOOFED!
They GOT IT WRONG (well, at least in the "relativistic" universe, in the "world at rest" which is an oxymoron for the world is not at rest it moves along with the SUN at great rates, in the stationary universe matter still can't be created nor destroyed, only converted, releasing enegery as it converts).
So much for science!
Shall be bet on the weatherman's predictions for tormorrow?
The odds are 50/50 one of us will lose and the weather man may have Egg on their face!
How about this one from science: The BIG ONE is coming. Don't know when, don't know where, but it's coming!
Sounds little like the Armegoddon preachers! Doomsday is coming. We don't know when, we don't know where it starts, but it's coming!
Go ahead, put your faith in Science, just remember, bring your umbrella just in case the scientists get it wrong!
Accuracy and authority: 6,000 years ago the Bible detailed BIG BANG, science just confirmed it only recently and it's only theory. Some stay it never happened and we are in a "steady state" universe that has always existed!
There's your accuracy and authority for science! Pick one and put money on it, if you dare! You might lose as they might say: OOPs we, goofed again!

Here is a question and response that may answer your question. It is from: http://www.christian-thinktank.com
5. What makes you so confident that the Bible is true? It has so many authors, so many translations, and was written over so many years--there MUST be some mistakes!
"At first blush, you would certainly EXPECT there to be mistakes--there certainly seems to be mistakes in all OTHER such literature. But, we have to keep coming back to the question of God--IF the God described in the Bible DOES exist, and IF He cares enough about us to get a message to us of His love and efforts for us in the person of Jesus Christ, THEN it is CERTAINLY POSSIBLE that He COULD produce such a book that WAS completely trustworthy. So, we are probably not entitled to ASSUME it is untrustworthy--we will have to TEST IT to see if it does measure up to a very high standard of reliability.
"We actually DO have indications that there is something 'supernatural' about this book--in the area of fulfilled predictions of the future. In that portion of the Bible written before the times of Jesus Christ--the Old Testament--there are numerous situations where men and women of God made detailed predictions about the future. To the best of our historical knowledge, ALL of these came true--a VERY 'odd' success rate for foretelling the future! These cases of accurate (and detailed) predictions of the future support the claim that a supernatural influence is involved in this Book.
"As far as modern historical methods, the curious thing about this book is that the farther away in history we get from the actual events it portrays, the higher our confidence grows that the record is correct! In other words, in generations past, scholars would have a list of passages in the Bible that they thought contained errors. But as time went by, and we learned more about ancient civilizations and cultures, and as we did more archeological excavations, the more those passages were found to be true. For example, for the longest time we believed that camels were not domesticated in the times of Abraham. But in the early 20th century, we discovered archeological remains that clearly demonstrated that the Bible record was historically accurate. So, as we learn more about history, the more our confidence in the historical accuracy of the Bible increases.
" Your question about the translations is a natural one, for if the bible we had today was a translation of a translation of a translation (and so on), we COULD have a problem. Fortunately for us, archeology works FOR us again. Each year we find more and more copies of the original manuscripts, from earlier and earlier dates. We even have manuscript fragments that date to the time of the apostles' deaths--LONG before we got into the 'translation business'! So each year provides us with better data about what the original authors wrote (and a way to check the modern translations for accuracy).
"And, even though this is going to sound strange, the very WEIRDNESS and DIFFICULTY of the Bible's content is a witness to the reliability and trustworthiness of the record. Let me explain. There are many passages in the Bible that are difficult to understand, easy to be offended at, or an embarrassment to the early church leaders. But these passages were NOT altered, omitted, or diluted! The emphasis on faithful recording and reporting was ETHICALLY HIGH, with the result that the Bible that we end up with is a trustworthy account.
"In fact, academic historians point out that, compared to the OTHER historical documents of the times, the Bible is incredibly more reliable, non-mythological, and historically testable.
So, by all the modern historical standards, we are justified in placing our confidence in the Bible."
Did you know there are over 20,000 manuscripts or partial manuscripts of the Bible that have been found? More than any other ancient writing?
Did you know that even the most liberal New Testament scholars date the gospels no later than 90 AD, with the earliest (Matthew) dated within 15 years of the resurrection?
Are you aware of how painstakenly the Jewish scribes copied the Old Testament? That if they made one error, they would burn it and start over?
Did you know that all the New Testament writings are dated before the second century?

Most of the evidence I've ever seen is related to people and places that have been proven through archeology and references from other civilizations literature.
However the Homeric stories and Greek myths have also be proven to have factual information about people and places.
Although they both contain the same type of factual information within the myths you will never find a Christian who would use the same support as proof that there are actually God's living on the top of mount Olympus.
You will find all myths contain some truth and history.

Try reading The book of Daniel, but escpecially the second chapter. God fortells the nations that are going to take place after the kingdom that was then in power. The bible is to be studied with the help of the Holy Spirit, prayerfully. When the jews asked Jesus for a sign, the only "sign" He gave them was fortelling them that He would be dead for only the three days like Jonah was in the belly of the whale. See Matthew chapter 12 verse 38-45

The principles of the Bahá'à Faith were established by Bahá'u'lláh, the Founder of the Faith, in the latter half of the nineteenth century and promulgated by His Son and appointed successor, 'Abdu'l-Bahá during a tireless twenty -nine year ministry. While on an historic teaching trip in 1912 throughout the United States and Canada, 'Abdu'l-Bahá explained Bahá'u'lláh's Teachings to audiences of infinitely varied backgrounds. Many of His talks included discussions of such Bahá'à principles as:
• The oneness of mankind.
• Universal peace upheld by a world government.
• Independent investigation of truth.
• The common foundation of all religions.
• The essential harmony of science and religion.
• Equality of men and women.
• Elimination of prejudice of all kinds.
• Universal compulsory education.
• A spiritual solution to the economic problem.
• A universal auxiliary language.
The explanations of these principles in the sections following are excerpts from the public talks of 'Abdu'l-Bahá in America in 1912, published in The Promulgation of Universal Peace.

I did not own a Bible on the day of my Salvation...but I knew from God's promise to me that His Word is still to be found in what has been preserved for us in The Bible we have today...
There is no inerrant text of the Bible in existance today... man has mucked it up a bit over the centuries...There is no original text in existance today...all of the text God dictated to the original scribes has been lost long ago...But By the leading of The Holy Spirit it is possable to find God's Will in the texts we do have... even though they are copies of copies of fragments of copies of translations...
